In AGM batteries, the electrolyte (a mixture of water and sulfuric acid) is mostly absorbed by glass fibers. This type of battery is completely maintenance free and will not produce gas during normal use. These batteries do not require any ventilation and can be installed anywhere.
Their structure can achieve very fast discharge at very high currents, making AGM batteries very suitable for systems that require high currents (such as when starting an engine). The battery terminals can be unscrewed, and this type of battery can be combined with each standard battery terminal.
